Welcome to my blog.
I guess you probably want to know a little bit about the person behind the blog.
Fair call, I always like to know who it is I am connecting with.
So, here goes.
I will try my best to keep it succinct.
A brief background on me, Robyn Williams.
I am a Wife, Mother of two FANTASTIC young adult children; whom I adore, and who are my inspiration.
I am a Wife, Mother of two FANTASTIC young adult children; whom I adore, and who are my inspiration.
I was born Robyn Hibbitt and married into the Williams clan in 1991. So I am absolutely no relation to the wonderful and extraordinary, late Mr Robin McLaurin Williams, R.I.P.
Although I wish I was as talented. Yes I have total talent envy. But I suppose that is to be expected when you share such an amazing name.
Moving around allot made education difficult, but what I gained in life experience, looking back, has been far more valuable.
Of course, I haven't always seen it that way and it has taken me quite some time to reconcile my disjointed upbringing and lack of education with a quality of life that has mad me the person I am today.
So what kind of person am I?
That I guess is for you to determine as you read my articles, thoughts of the day and attempts at poetry.
How do I see myself?
I am a deep thinker, I like to tear apart an issue and look at it from the inside-out. This doesn't mean I am not opinionated. Far from it.
I have my opinions on just about everything.
But I like to think that I can be objective enough to look at the issue from as many perspectives as possible. Of course, I will still put my spin on it. I am only human after all.
I have always loved the idea of being a writer but I just never thought I had anything worth hearing. I have tried, on a number of occasions, to write a book.
I have started so many that I actually thought of writing a book that was compiled of all my started projects; I would call it "In the Beginning". Get it ;)
It was only recently, like 3 months ago (September 2015) that I realised that I am a writer, I just didn't have an audience. I realized that I don't need to write a book. I discovered Blogging.
Now, I don't mean I actually discovered blogging, haha. Of course I knew what it was about.
I read many great blogs, all spruking their knowledge on one thing or another. I love reading blogs, they are such a great insight into humanity.
No, I mean, I discovered it for myself.
I realised I could write short articles, which meant I could get my thoughts out there without losing my momentum; which is what happened with my book attempts.
So, here I am a few months later sharing my thoughts on the world with you.
You can read my Manifesto HERE
I hope you enjoy my writing.
